A conference „Energy 1.28” hosted by ZRE Katowice held on 3-5 April 2017 in Zakopane, Poland. HEXAR was not only a guest and an active participat but also a sponsor of the event. The theme of the conference was a slogan „Energy 1.28”. The power industry as the most essential branch of industry in general, has already got version 2.0 based on two pillars: renewable energy and efficiency, supported by full digitization.

The issues of the Polish power industry were discussed at the Conference, facing the attempt to revitalise and rebuild electricity generation, on the example of the basic generating unit of our system, which is still a 200MW class block.

The large energy units that have emerged in the times of conventional energy – Energy 1.0, still have a significant modernization potential that is capable of meeting new regulatory and environmental requirements. The series of debates that took place at the conference became a field for the exchange of ideas on the modernization of the Polish conventional energy.
